Chocolate Fudge

Chocolate fudge for Christmas platter with just four ingredients.

Always wanted to perfect making fudge with the perfect thickness and accurate squares. Finally after trying various recipes, came up with this simple Chocolate Fudge.
There are many variations with continuous hours of stirring and then the fear that it won't set right or its too gooey. Well this seems to be a no fail method. Do try this simple but extremely finger licking fudge recipe and leave your comments on my blog.

Ingredients:

I 14 oz can - condensed milk
400 gms or 1 bar of dark compound chocolate
1 1/2 tsp's -vanilla essence
1/8 tsp. salt

Method:

Break the chocolate into small bits. Roast and crush nuts and keepaside.
Take a huge round bowl and put the chocolate and microwave on high for one anda half minute. Remove and mix until smooth. Add condensed milk followed by the vanilla essence and salt.
If you prefer nuts, add roasted and crushed nuts at this stage.
Pour onto a  8 x 8 inch pan lined with butter paper. You need to secure the butter paper properly. Butter the butter paper well. Keep it a bit longer so that you can easily remove the whole slab of fudge once set.
You can sprinkle nuts like I did on top, to give a nice festive look .
Keep refrigerated but make sure to wrap it well in a cling wrap. Mine set within an hour.
Remove the slab on an inverted tray and cut into neat squares using a ruler as a guide.
Store in a covered box refrigerated.
