Prawns Pulao



Recipe:
Ingredients:
Basmati rice - 1.5 cups
Prawns - 1 kg
1" cinamon stick
2-3 - cardamoms
3 cloves
1 sliced onion
1 large tomato

Masala to be ground:
1 bunch coriander leaves
7 - 8 garlic flakes
3-4 - green chillies
1 ball of tamarind
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1 tsp. turmeric powder
6-7 peppercorns
dill leaves - 1 bunch - chopped fine

Method:

Soak rice about a cup
Take about 2 tbsp. oil in a pan. Add the whole spices cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms. Add sliced onions, when slightly golden add the cubed tomato. Fry a bit. Add the ground masala. Fry and add the chopped dill leaves.
Add the soaked rice followed by 2.5 cups of water. Cook on a medium flame for about 15 minutes and switch off the flame. The rice continues to cook in its own steam. Open after 10 minutes.
Yummy prawns pulao is ready. Serve with fresh salad and lime pickle.
 
Notes: I do not add any more masalas or garam masala powder as the flavour of fresh ingredients itself makes it vert tasty.
