Beetroot Sev or Savoury snack with Chickpea flour



Sev (Healthy Version)





For those of you who would like to have fried snacks without feeling guilty, here's my take on the famous Indian savoury which is sprinkled almost over every snack in India, namely vegetarian cuisine. 
The twist I've given here is by adding beetroot juice which is extremely beneficial for building healthy red blood cells. 

Ingredients:

Chickpea flour or besan floor - 1.5 cups
Beetroot juice - about half a cup
salt to taste
chilli pwd - 1 tsp
ajwain water - grind 1 tsp.  ajwain with water , strain and add only the water
water to mix

Method: 

Take the flour in a bowl, add beetroot juice little at a time so make sure no lumps are formed. Add all the remaining ingredients.
Make a batter of pouring consistency like slightly thinner than the cake batter. 
Take a mould and oil it completely from inside. ( really saves time cleaning afterwards)
Pout batter in hot oil and fry until crisp. Just takes 2 minutes on either sides.
